While attacking the town, the pirates find Elizabeth (who hides her true identity as the governor’s daughter by using Turner as a last name) in possession of the medallion they were looking for, and they take her back to their ship. She demands to be taken to the captain; she asks that the pirates leave in exchange for the medallion. He agrees but, employing a loophole in their agreements, takes Elizabeth with them.
